So I've had my eye on the Naked 3 Palette for a while now, it has been on my makeup wish list. After dropping many hints to my sister, I think she got it as I couldn't be more obvious :P, when it came to unwrap my presents on Christmas Day my face lit up like a Christmas tree as this baby was there.
Usually I hate makeup palettes because I only ever wear 3/20 colours as I only like blacks, browns and golds. The rest for me like blues, pinks, greens, reds etc are hookeresque. I mean unless I am a runway model that can pull off a funky makeup look or a clown I will never feel comfortable wearing those shades. So I tend to stick to quads. At the moment I am loving Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in 208 Tisse Gabrielle by Chanel. That Quad is just gorgeous.
Anyhow Naked 1 and Naked 2 just didn't really interest me, but when I saw Urban Decay had released a Naked 3 this particular baby drew me right in. For starters I am a sucker when it comes to anything gold, literally like a magpie, so it was a no brainer I just simply had to get my hands on this palette. Thanks to my sister it's all mine.
The Naked 3 comes with 12 beautiful shades. They're all rose hued neutrals exclusive to the Naked 3. You have a choice ranging from matte, pearly and metallic from pale to the deepest black. My personal favourite is blackheart its the black one with the red micro glitter - reminds me of Dorthy's Ruby Red Slippers from the Wizzard of Oz.
They're very pigmented meaning they stay true to their colour and don't fade out like cheap eye shadows do. Because of this you don't need a primer as they don't crease and stay on pretty much the whole day. But I would recommend a primer anyhow for absolute perfection.
If you cant be bothered to splurge on a primer the good news is this palette comes with a weeks worth of Urban Decay Primer Potion, another thing I wanted to try out. Killed 2 birds with 1 stone there. Actually make that 3, I forgot to mention the double sided crease and blending brush that's included.
for £40 it is definitely worth it I mean I paid almost £40 for my Chanel Quad which comes with only 4 colours, here you get 12! you deffo get what you pay for. After all its an investment. Would you rather 40 shitty eye shadows from the 99p store or 12 beautiful ones that will last you years as a little goes a long way with these. I'm all about quality over quantity.
Also lets take a moment to appreciate the pretty packaging. Rose Gold! say no more.
